Like in any modding community, idea guys tend to pop up in the Amnesia community.
Typically, an idea guy is a modder who can’t tell how little skill they actually have. The mod auteur makes a few maps and announces some absolutely wild shit they think they can create. Some of the common delusions are:
- New monsters (some even claim multiple)
- Stories which would require NPCs to make sense
- Settings which are absolutely unachievable with the available assets
In literally every case these people not only don’t have the skill necessary to create the assets they need, but also are completely oblivious about how much effort it would take.
Along with the announcement of the mod, the creator will typically start looking for slaves artists who will make their insane ideas a reality (for free, of course).
